Google Celebrates Cricketer Dilip Sardesai's Birthday With A Doodle

<p><strong>Dilip Sardesai</strong> would have been celebrating his 78th birthday had he been alive. The Indian batsman known for India's famous victory in West Indies in 1971 <strong>was born on August 8, 1940, in Goa.</strong></p> <p><strong>Born in Margao,&nbsp;Goa</strong>, he made the first overseas double hundred by an Indian with a score of 212. He made another record when he scored 150 at Kensington Oval and became the first Indian to score two overseas 150s. <strong>Sun</strong><span class="text_exposed_show"><strong>il Gavaskar </strong>once said: <strong>&ldquo;He showed us how to play fast bowling, and in doing so gave us the confidence we needed to beat the West Indies.&rdquo;</strong><br />Sardesai was called as <strong>Sardee Maan in West Indies</strong>.
