<p><strong>Dilip Sardesai</strong> would have been celebrating his 78th birthday had he been alive. The Indian batsman known for India's famous victory in West Indies in 1971 <strong>was born on August 8, 1940, in Goa.</strong></p> <p><strong>Born in Margao,&nbsp;Goa</strong>, he made the first overseas double hundred by an Indian with a score of 212.
