YouTube TV is finally available on Amazon's Fire TV devices

YouTube TV is coming to Fire TV devices! Amazon has announced that Google's paid TV streaming service will finlly be available on its Fire TV devices. The list of devices includes Fire TV Cubes, Fire TV smart television and its Fire TV stick.

"We are excited to announce that YouTube TV is officially available on Fire TV devices including Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K, all-new Fire TV Cube, Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition Smart TVs and more," Amazon wrote in a blog post.

For those of you who aren't sure what exactly YouTube TV is, here is a brief explanation: YouTube TV is cable-free live TV streaming service by Google that streams content from various channels like Cartoon Newtork, CNN, Discovery, BBC World News, TLC and others in addition to YouTube Originals without the hassle of installing the cable TV boxes. It offers over 70 channels to the users and it has unlimited cloud DVR storage space. YouTube TV subscribers can have up to six accounts per household, which means that each family member can have their personal DVR and personalized recommendations. In case you are still confused as to how this service works, don't stress out as the YouTube TV is not available in India yet. But if you are living in the US, which is where this service is live, you might want to keep reading.

If you have a Fire TV device, here is the list of devices that that will support YouTube TV:

-- Fire TV Stick 4K

-- All-new Fire TV Cube

-- All Toshiba, Insignia, Element, and Westinghouse Fire TV Edition smart TVs

-- Fire TV Cube (1st Gen)

-- Fire TV (2nd Gen)

-- Fire TV (3rd Gen - Pendant Design)

While YouTube TV is available on a whole bunch of Amazon's Fire TV devices, the YouTube TV app is not compatible with the first generation Fire TV Stick and the first generation Fire TV, Amazon announced.

The availability on the YouTube TV on Amazon Fire TV devices come months after Google and Amazon decided to end their feud earlier this year. As a part of the agreement, YouTube app returned to Amazon's Fire TV devices and and Fire TV Edition smart TVs and the Amazon Prime Video app added Chromecast support to its platform. In addition to that, the YouTube TV and YouTube Kids apps were also made available on the Amazon Fire TV.
