Amazon hosted its annual Amazon Event 2019 at its headquarters - The Spheres - in Seattle. The event saw the tech giant launching over a dozen Alexa skills and features and 15 new devices including the rumoured AirPods competitors - the Amazon Echo Buds and the Echo Frames. Of these 15 Alexa-powered gizmos, Amazon is bringing three Echo devices to India.
Amazon Echo Dot with Clock
First up is the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock. Amazon launched the third generation Echo Dot last year at its annual event. The company brought better bass support on to the Echo Dot last year. This year, the e-retail giant is adding more utilitarian features to Echo Dot. The Echo Dot 4G or the Echo Dot with Clock a bright LED display that outdoor temperature, time, number of alarms or timer. Amazon says that the LED display automatically adjusts based on the brightness of the room, so you can easily see the time or just ask to see the outdoor temperature. You can also tap the top of the device to snooze an alarm easily - a feature that was missing in the previous generation Echo Dot smart speakers.
All new Echo
Next in line is the all new Echo. This one is the successor to the second generation Echo Plus smart speaker that was launched last year. Amazon says that the all new Echo smart speaker has the same audio technology that was available in the Echo Plus speaker, which includes a 3-inch woofer and increased back volume for stronger bass effect. In addition to Black, White and Grey colour options, the all new Echo will be available in a new Blue colour.
Amazon Echo Studio
Last but not the least, Amazon launched the Amazon Echo Studio in India. The Echo Studio comes with five built-in directional speakers, 5.25-inch woofer, a 1-inch tweeter and three 2-inch midrange speakers. It also has a 24-bit DAC and a power amplifier with 100 kHz of bandwidth for high-resolution, lossless music playback. Amazon says that the Echo Studio also automatically senses the acoustics of your space and fine-tunes audio playback to deliver optimal sound-no matter where you put the device in the room. The Amazon Echo Studio features support for Dolby Atmos and users can pair it up with Fire TV Stick 4K for a home theatre experience.
