Flipkart recently introduced the Flipkart Plus with the aim to offer a wide range of services to customers similar to what the Amazon prime gives to shoppers. The e-commerce platform has now announced yet another rewards ecosystem called Flipkart SuperCoins. For now, the e-commerce giant has just confirmed the coming of Flipkart SuperCoins. The multi-reward ecosystem is said to be introduced in India next month.
Some media reports suggest that the Flipkart SuperCoins will be officially introduced and available to consumers around the early days of July. Flipkart is yet to reveal the exact date when the Flipkart SuperCoins will be introduced. With Flipkart SuperCoins the e-commerce giant is said to roll out multiple brand rewards ecosystem.
Talking about Supercoins Flipkart says it aims to offer customers the chance to shop on various online platforms and not just its own. For the Flipkart SuperCoins the e-commerce giant is said to partner with around 100 partner brands including Zomato, OYO, UrbanClap, PhonePe and MakeMyTrip. The company is assured that with the SuperCoins multi-brand rewards consumers will be heavily benefited. The company also believes that with the coming of SuperCoins the Flipkart Plus members will double up.
Commenting on the initiative Flipkart in an official statement to the media said, "SuperCoins can be earned on all Flipkart transactions and partner services hosted on the Flipkart App and can be redeemed for exciting rewards from an ever-increasing rewards portfolio, making every single transaction a rewarding experience for customers." The company further said that "The SuperCoins ecosystem is open to customers irrespective of the payment method they choose."
Flipkart further noted that SuperCoins will not only work on the Flipkart website but also across over 100 partner brands. "With SuperCoins, customers will now be rewarded for doing everything they love, agnostic of which brand services they avail, and it will all be managed on one single platform," Prakash Sikaria, Flipkart Vice-President (Growth and Monetisation) said.
