WhatsApp voice messages review: The app recently rolled out playback speeds for voice messages. Now, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to listen to their recordings before sending them.

WhatsApp voice messages feature: WhatsApp recently rolled out a major update to the voice messages feature on its platform. WhatsApp update enables users to listen to voice messages at variable speeds. Users can pick from normal speed, 1.5x speed and 2x speed. This feature is available on WhatsApp’s Android and iOS-based apps and WhatsApp Web/Desktop. Now, word is that another WhatsApp update is on the way that will make it easier for users to share voice messages.

As of now, WhatsApp users cannot edit voice messages on Facebook’s messaging platform. They can either delete a voice message or share it but as of now, there is no way to listen to a WhatsApp voice message before sharing it. Now, WABetaInfo reports that the company is working on a new feature that will do just that. Simply put, this WhatsApp feature will enable users to review voice messages before sending them.

In the new format, WhatsApp will allow users to listen to a voice message before sending it by introducing a new stop button. The screenshots shared by the blog site hints towards users getting a new stop button while recording a voice message. Every time users press the stop button, they get a separate button to play the voice message like they would if they had shared the message. This gives WhatsApp users the ability to choose if they want to continue recording their messages or start all over again. If users want to record the message again, they can press the delete button and start recording their messages again. On the other hand, if they feel the message is right, they can hit the send button to share it with the intended recipient.

This WhatsApp update is being developed for the company’s Android and iOS-based apps and it is expected to arrive on the company’s beta apps soon.

Separately, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed three new WhatsApp features will be making their way to the app soon. Firstly, the company is planning to roll out a new ‘View Once’ feature on its platform. This feature will ensure that the selected content disappears after a user has viewed it once. The second WhatsApp feature is called multi-device support. This feature will allow users to use their WhatsApp accounts on multiple devices even without an active internet connection on the main device. Lastly, another WhatsApp update is about disappearing mode that will ensure that when turned on all chats disappear leaving no trace at all.
