Twitter Blue has been spotted on its iOS app description with features such as colour themes and customisable app icons.
Twitter has been rumoured to launch a paid subscription service with features such as Undo Tweets. It’s reportedly going to be called ‘Twitter Blue’. This has now been confirmed by Twitter itself through its app page in the iOS App Store. Twitter Blue will be priced at $2.29 ( ₹177 approx) per month in the US.
Twitter Blue has been listed as an in-app purchase within the Twitter app for iOS. It’s also listed with a price tag of $2.299. This was spotted by Jane Manchun Wong who ended up becoming the first paying Twitter Blue customers. Based on screenshots shared by Wong, Twitter Blue comes with colour themes and custom app icons. Users will be able to choose different colours like yellow, red and purple as the Twitter theme. They can also change the app icon to pink, purple, green, orange and more colours.
Twitter Blue comes with more perks including the option to quickly undo tweets. It will also let users categorise their favourite tweets into different collections. There’s also ‘Read Mode’ that turns long threads into a more readable format. Twitter Blue will be offered with different subscription plans. Users who purchase higher subscription plans will have access to more features. The $2.99 price could be the base subscription plan.
Twitter is yet to release its paid subscription service but with the recent discoveries it may happen soon. Twitter Blue will be the latest paid offering from Twitter. It has already announced Super Follow that will let users pay for exclusive content. There’s Tip Jar too that lets users earn through tips from their followers.
